As always, we've enjoyed everything in the last two boxes! Many, many thanks to all of you. I'm coming to understand more and more what it takes to provide clean, healthy food. Wish I could shout it from the rooftops! You all have my deepest respect.

Your email made me realize how much we miss you and your CSA, now that we've
moved to the DC area.
Although we regularly see references to the Tuscarora collective, we just
can't get produce anywhere near as good as what we got from you every week -- for any price.
We've tried three different CSAs that serve the Rockville/Gaithersburg area, but they just aren't comparable. One even used the CSA as a way to get rid
of stuff they couldn't sell at the Saturday farmer's market. :-(
So, at any rate, thank you for having been so incredible. You've spoiled us for other CSAs.

Yesterday's share was so beautiful, colorful, bountiful!
We had ratatouille on a bed of green beans, and the
Sungolds were shared with some friends while listening to our neighbor play her harp: doubly heavenly! Thank you all.
Here's how I made the ratatouille: I put in a handful of the cilantro; a lot of the parsley
and the rest of what I think was the Hungarian wax pepper from last week's
share, very finely diced. Browned onions, with some peppers/eggplant/lots of tomatoes.
I put some baked falafel (chick pea patties) on top of the ratatouille, and some hummus on top of the falafel, and served it all on a bed of the lightly steamed green beans. So good.

Yummy peppers! Loving all the peppers. And we can never have enough onions. The yellow tomatoes are delish! Thank you.

I am so excited for more delicious vegetables! Joining the Village Acres CSA has really changed the way I eat and cook for the better.

Hi there! I no longer live in PA, but thought I'd let you know that I *loved* being a part of your CSA, and still have many recipes that I use that you sent out in your newsletter!
Keep up the good work and here's to good food!

We've moved out of state (and were reminded of you by your email), I just wanted to say thank you again for all the delicious food and fun events on the farm. Village Acres was truly one of the highlights of our time in Pennsylvania, and we recommend you to everyone we know who moves there. All the best in the future and keep up the good work!

Because of all the peppers, I get to make Pepper Steak later this week! Today, to use some kale and more, I made Curried Barley with Lentils & Chicken. Yum!

Anna, I enjoyed your note today on the Village Voice. Thank you for your thoughtful words!

The most wonderful late summer salad we had consisted of
(1) 1 medium watermelon (the size you gave us in our box), medium chunks,
(2) 2 tubs of aged feta cheese,
(3) handful of fresh mint, torn in small pieces.

Mix these together and enjoy - believe me. This recipe was suggested by one of the folks at Wegmans.

We hope you enjoy it too.

Made chicken and dumplings with our whole farm chicken in a dutch oven tonight. It was incredible! We had forgotten why we use to enjoy the taste of chicken until we started buying true pasture-raised. What a difference! There is truly no comparison.
Thank you for helping us have the coziest October winter dinner ever!
Many thanks to all of you for providing us with amazing local food!

My son visited from Philly, where his girlfriend works at Whole Foods. He said the produce we get from Village Acres looks and tastes better than the produce they get from Whole Foods. That just about sums it up!

What a lovely way to wind up the summer season! The red onions and kale look as if they should be in a painting, not in a cooking pot. Everything is beautiful, and what I have tasted so far is very flavorful. Those weirdly-shaped carrots are delicious!
